If there's one thing a DJ loves, it's interacting with listeners. WIXQ has two ways for you to say hello or make a request: telephone, e-mail, and instant message.

2. AOL Instant Messenger: screenname WIXQ 917

You can request a song and talk to the DJ by calling our hotlines: (717) 872-3518 and (717) 872-3519 (x3518 and x3519 from on campus). Additionally, you can contact the DJ in real-time over the Internet with AOL Instant Messenger software. It's a free service with free software, and you don't need a paid AOL account.

If you're familiar with AOL-IM, our screen name is WIXQ 917.  Add us to your buddy list and say hello.

If you can't or don't want to install AOL-IM software on your computer, use this QuickBuddy Java applet to run the software through your web browser. Be sure to add us to your buddy list.

Even if you've never used AOL Instant Messenger before, it's very easy to install and configure. You can use the QuickBuddy Java applet or software installed on your computer. Many computers and software packages come with AOL-IM. Look for a walking yellow stick man icon that says "AOL Instant Messenger." It may be located on your desktop or somewhere in your start menu (possibly in the Netscape Communicator folder). If you don't already have it, it's available for quick, free download from AOL. Click here to get it. Follow the installation instructions and return to WIXQ.com.

After you establish your screen name and log on to AOL-IM, Click the List Setup tab and add the screen name WIXQ 917 to your buddy list. Then click the Online tab, double click on us, and start talking (don't forget to hit the enter key to send the message).
